The Sundance Film Festival in Boulder: Welcoming the World

In January 2027, the Sundance Film Festival will bring its longstanding commitment to global, independent storytelling to its new home in Boulder, Colorado, building on its legacy while creating new opportunities for connection and discovery. With an expanded international slate, a FIPRESCI jury, Academy Award qualification for World Cinema Grand Jury Prize winners, and more than 30 direct international flight routes into Denver, the Festival looks forward to engaging with the global film community at the Festival now more than ever. Join Sundance Institute and longtime AFM attendee CEO David Linde, marketing and communications expert Laura Kim (Sundance Institute, MUBI, Participant), and additional guests for an in-depth discussion about what the move to Boulder means for the international film industry and why international filmmakers, distributors, sales agents, and press should make the Sundance Film Festival part of their 2027 plans.
