Accessible Transportation
Wheelchair accessible van transportation can also be scheduled between the Loews Hotel (Exhibitor offices), Fairmont Hotel (Conferences), theatres and local hotels in the AFM block. The van will only be available for pick-up and drop-off at existing AFM Shuttle stops. If you will need accessible van transportation, please inform us at least two weeks in advance so we can arrange for the van and driver. Send your request to AFMaccessibility@IFTA-online.org. During the AFM, the Transportation Coordinator will require 15 minutes advance notice of when and where you will need each pick up.
Sign Language Interpreters
Attendees can request a sign language interpreter. Please email AFMaccessibility@IFTA-online.org with your request, including your full schedule, at least four weeks in advance. AFM requests this much advance notice because interpreters are in high demand and we want to ensure that interpreters are available for all those who require one.
Sign language interpreters are available for AFM sponsored events only. Interpreters for private events – parties, meals, etc. – are the responsibility of the participant.
Registration of Personal Interpreter
If you would like to bring an aide who can serve as your personal interpreter, AFM will provide your interpreter with a complimentary badge with the same access as yours. Onsite Resources
The Filmmakers Lounge, located on the lobby level of Le Merigot Hotel, has an ADA reserved table with power strips. Additionally, a TDD phone can be placed in a convenient location in the Loews Hotel. Please provide at least one week advance notice for the TDD phone.
Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) involve the installation of transmitters at the Conferences and Roundtables. Sound is transmitted to headphones provided to the attendee. There is no charge for use of ALDs. Attendees should request ALDs at least two weeks in advance so equipment can be sourced and installed. Please email AFMaccessibility@IFTA-online.org with your request.
AFM does not provide connections to Conference and Roundtable sound boards.
Other Accessibility Needs
Individuals with other impairments who require information about or assistance with accessibility needs should contact AFMaccessibility@IFTA-online.org. Requests should be submitted, if possible, at least four weeks in advance.
