Victor has been at the forefront of contemporary French and European discussions regarding such hot-button topics as the mandatory chronology of sequential media windowing in France, territorial limitations on film licensing within the EU, the emerging role of SVOD, the fight against piracy in association with the MPAA, and the overall future of film distribution within France and the European Union. In addition to his industry public service and being on the leading edge of innovative approaches to film distribution, Victor is widely regarded for his work in production and in the discovery of new creative talent.

Victor and Samuel have shepherded Metropolitan (a company founded by their father, David, in 1978) to the pinnacle of independent European production and distribution companies with such commercial and critical successes as the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy, RESIDENT EVIL and HUNGER GAMES franchises, SILENT HILL and EXPENDABLES sagas, and films by such renowned directors as George Clooney, Terry Gilliam, Brian De Palma, David Cronenberg, Christophe Gans, David Fincher, Chan-Wook Park, Martin Scorsese, Sam Raimi, Claude Lelouch, David O. Russell, Terrence Malick, and Steven Spielberg. The quality and originality of the movies they have presented has led to multiple selections by the most prestigious festivals in the world.

Long known for their marketing acumen, and led by both their audacity and passion, Victor and Samuel moved quickly into feature film production through their production company Davis Films. Victor has also led Metropolitan’s international expansion into VOD platforms throughout Europe in Spain, Benelux, and recently in Germany.
